Youth Anthems #15

Facebook event.

February in the UK?  Hardly the most fun time of the year right?  Well let’s ignore that and have an awesome time instead! We’ll watch three fun awesome bands, eat loads of cake from That Old Chestnut and generally have a great time.

Tickets are available from our pals at Jumbo Records

Here’s who we’ve got playing..!

Biscuithead and The Biscuit Badgers

We finally got them!  Pretty much every band we’ve had at Youth Anthems has insisted we get Biscuithead… on so we finally made it happen and I can’t wait.  If you’ve never experienced them before (and experience really is the word) then imagine a family friendly mix of The Tiger Lillies, The Magnetic Fields and the Knee High Theatre company!  Vaudeville cabaret with songs about Soy Milk, Dinosaurs and David Attenborough.  There is nothing like this!

With a seriously great new album out on Everything Sucks music OPS are a proper gem in the UK music scene.  Straight out of Birmingham they play a lovely mix of lo-fi indie, pop punk and even a tiny bit of 90’s grunge in there!  I’m super excited that we’ve got them up here so show them a good time people!

Gerrard Bell-Fife

You all know Gerrard right?  Nice bloke, really funny?  Incredible folk musician?  That’s the one.  Well he’ll be opening up proceedings so make sure you’re down in time for him.  Here’s some ramblings I wrote about him last time I saw him.

So head on over to Jumbo Records for your tickets and if you have any questions just email us!
